The 减免学费 Process

每学期每门课程的学费减免必须通过以下方式申请/申请 MyDU.

对于任何已更改的课程，必须重新申请学费减免.

• Changes include add/drop of course, section, etc.
• The waiver must be re-requested by the deadline.

所有学费减免的用户必须在100%的截止日期前提出申请.

Tuition waiver courses dropped before web registration closes will be reallocated towards the annual maximum, 和 the tuition waiver must be reassigned to new classes for the term before web registration closes.

  Employees 和 their spouses/partners become eligible to use the tuition waiver at the beginning of the first term following six months of benefited service. 资格 levels are based on the work schedule of the employee, as outlined in the table below.

• Dependent 资格 和 Benefit Overview

  家属 under the age of 25 become eligible to use the tuition waiver on the first day of the academic term (quarter or semester) following one year of the employee's benefited service.

• Changes in 资格

  学费减免的资格在每学期的第一天确定. 资格的变更将在下一学期开始时生效. (PolicyA部分.2.c.) If there are eligibility changes between the time a student has registered 和 the start of the term, the student's bill will be adjusted through an overnight process to reflect the increase or decrease in benefit. 更改通知将自动发送给学生和员工.

  Federal regulations require a student to no longer be considered an undergraduate once all undergraduate degree requirements are complete. 结果是, dual-degree students will be eligible for the graduate-level waiver after an undergraduate degree has been earned. Graduate-level coursework covered by the tuition waiver is considered taxable income by the IRS, 并且将对学生通过其获得学费减免的员工征税. 请参阅 Taxation 和 the 减免学费 页面 for further information.

  员工因辞职而离开学校, release eligible for rehire, release ineligible for rehire, or end of temporary assignment, the following will apply:

  • Any students using the waiver at the time of separation will have it prorated based on the number of weeks remaining in the term. (PolicyA部分.5.d.)
  • The total number of credits for which the waiver was assigned at the 100% refund deadline for the term will be counted against the annual maximum. (PolicyA部分.5.c.例如:, 如果员工在10周季度的第5周离职, the Office of Student Billing will bill 50% of the value of the tuition waiver to the student 和 the total credits for which the waiver had been assigned will be counted against the annual maximum.

Using the 减免学费

在雇佣, employees' tuition waiver eligibility is automatically post-dated for the first term following six months of benefited service at the University. Waivers will become available to the employee 和 his/her spouse/partner 和 dependents for each term following, according to eligibility. See the sections below for information on how to use the tuition waiver that is specific to employees/retirees 和 their spouses/partners, as well as their dependents.

  1. Apply for admission.
  2. Register for classes via MyDU under the "Student" tab.

  Graduate-level employees only:

  • Tuition waiver benefits not assigned to courses by the close of web registration for the term will be forfeited for that term.

  Tuition waiver eligibility for employees' dependent children is automatically post-dated for the first term following 12 months of benefited service at the University.   1. Apply for Admission.
  2. Register for classes via MyDU under the "Student" tab.

Eligible Coursework

Financial Aid 和 the 减免学费
